Managing Director
Hey, I'm Krystal.
I'm currently a 2025 New Colombo Plan Scholar for Hong Kong and Singapore from Macquarie University, studying Commerce and Business Information Systems. To enrich my global perspectives, I completed an exchange at the University of British Columbia and am now studying at the University of Hong Kong.
My passion for empowering individuals and communities is evident through my roles as Vice President of Women Entering Business, where I support the professional development of hundreds of young women, and as a Senior Consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting, providing strategic insights to non-profits. As an Executive Member at Youth Decide, I lead workshops to foster civic engagement. Previously, as an Events Director for the United Nations Association of Australia, I promoted human rights education and, as a Youth Advocate at Youth Action NSW, I drove policy changes that reflect young people's perspectives.
Asia is a region rich with emerging opportunities. Strengthening regional ties is vital for improving social and economic outcomes, and I aim to leverage my cross-cultural identity as a Chinese-Malaysian born Australian to enhance collaboration and support professional development.

Vice President of Externals
Hey, I'm Shysie.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws / Economics at the University of Sydney, with a strong interest in fostering Asia-Australia collaboration. Driven by a global outlook, I have undertaken exchanges across Asia and Europe, including a high school exchange in Hiroshima, Japan, and short-term university study at Korea University in Seoul and Humboldt University in Berlin.
In 2025, I represented Australia as one of 53 delegates selected from over 10,000 applicants for UNIQLO’s Global Management Program in Tokyo. Collaborating with an international team, we developed and pitched solutions to key operational challenges faced by UNIQLO. Presenting our strategies to senior executives reinforced my enthusiasm for consulting projects that address complex issues across the Asia-Pacific.
I also recently completed a Legal Internship with HSBC, assisting on regulatory compliance and transactional matters within a global financial institution. Building on this experience, I am eager to apply my skills in both legal and consulting contexts, contributing to projects that strengthen collaboration and deliver lasting outcomes.
Through Lantern Consulting, I hope to draw on my journey growing up in China and Sydney to strengthen Asia-Australia ties and contribute to projects that create meaningful impact.

Vice President of Internals
Hey, I'm Angela.
I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) at UNSW, double majoring in Accounting and Finance. My interest in Asia began two years ago while working on some really interesting projects in the Japan and South Korea divisions of a global pharmaceutical company. This passion for cross-cultural learning and innovation has only grown during my time at the National University of Singapore as a 2025 Westpac Asian Exchange Scholar.
Over the past year, I’ve co-founded and co-led Student Energy UNSW, Australia’s first student chapter empowering young leaders in sustainability. Through this and my active involvement with UNSW’s consulting groups and student equity initiatives, I’ve always been motivated to use my platform as a driver of social change.
I hope to bring this ethos to Lantern Consulting, supporting these synergies between Asia and Australia which I believe holds the key to answering many of the problems we currently face in business and society.

Vice President of Finance
Hey, I'm Ella.
I’m currently in my penultimate year studying Finance and Economics at the University of Melbourne.
Asia is important to me as it is an integral part of my identity and allows me a unique, dual perspective that has made me a more well-rounded individual. Professionally, my engagement with Asia is active and impactful, and experiences have provided direct, on-the-ground insight into regional leadership and policy, which I now apply to foster cross-cultural dialogue in economics. As a tutor, I provide different educational methodologies suited towards different students.
The sectors that Lantern interacts with intersects all of my core interests - education, finance, and Australia-Asia relations. I am excited to lead the Finance portfolio and leverage my diverse experiences in sponsorship, financial and budget management to oversee and implement a sustainable framework for financial management at the core operational level to support our projects. My goal in the future is to build upon this foundation, working directly within the Asia-Pacific region to contribute meaningful change.

Hey, I'm Stacey.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Chinese Studies) at Monash University, driven by a fervent passion for fostering Asia–Australia intersectionality.
As a first-generation Chinese–Australian, staying connected to my cultural roots is paramount to my identity. I have undertaken government-funded training in the Shaolin mountains and conducted field research in Malaysia under a New Colombo Plan Grant.
Professionally, I work with a leading Victorian plaintiff law firm, assisting lawyers in Institutional Abuse matters. This role, alongside my prior experience in property law, has developed my skills in legal drafting, case preparation, and client communication, and provided me with valuable insight into the practical workings of the legal system.
Through my work with Lantern Consulting, I aim to integrate my legal training and Asian studies background to support the organisation’s mission by drafting policies and contracts and overseeing its legal and governance frameworks.
